Job Summary

Lecturers teach one or more undergraduate and/or graduate sections in a given term. Appointments carry no guarantee or expectation of renewal or tenure.
  • Guide students in preparing professional project documents based on existing templates (i.e., project charter, plan, schedule, final report, final presentation, poster, infographic) and monitor their progress, deliverables, and provide students with timely feedback and direction.
  • Set expectations with students and clients regarding project management, scope, and deliverables. Communicate as a liaison between students' teams and project sponsors to ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Set up and manage regular meetings with students' teams and project sponsors (e.g., project kick-off, weekly review meetings, final presentation).
  • Manage projects' lifecycle (e.g., planning, initiating, tracking, monitoring) and delivering them on-time. Essentially, developing suitable solutions to clients' business problems/projects. Mentor students throughout the course in project management (critical), professionalism and guide them in starting, executing, and tracking projects' activities and milestones.

Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • PhD in business or a closely related field and 10 or more years of relevant experience in product/project/program management. PMP is preferred.
  • Have at least ten years of management experience in business areas (e.g., OM, Marketing, IT, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Global Business).
  • Demonstrable business acumen through work history, proven career track record, and established relationships with the DFW businesses.
  • Located in the DFW area (this is not a remote position) and be flexible in the course schedule (weekdays) as required.
