Assistant Instructional Professor
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Chicago invites applications for positions at the rank of Assistant Instructional Professor. Appointments at this rank are for a term of up to three years with the possibility of renewal. The terms and conditions of employment for this position are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the University. This is a career-track position with potential progression and competitive salary and benefits. Expected start date is September 1, 2023.
Position responsibilities include teaching up to six courses per year, contributions to the effective functioning of departmental programs of instruction, and ongoing professional development.

Minimum qualifications:
- completion of a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required prior to the start of appointment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses in mathematics including single and multivariable calculus, and linear algebra.
