Position Summary:
Incumbent performs non-licensed medical care in an assigned outpatient clinical setting. Utilizes a team based approach to delivering patient care services. Performs clerical functions associated with the operations of a clinical office as necessary

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $23.02 Midpoint $25.84 Maximum $28.65
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Understanding of medical terminology
Ability to work well in a constantly changing environment
Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting Clinical / Back Office
BLS certification upon hire
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Phlebotomy certification
