Reports to: Appraisal Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Grade: NE12
Supervisory Responsibility: No
SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the appraisal manager, this position provides administrative support for the appraisal manager and the department. In addition to typing, filing, scheduling, performs duties such as coordination with outside vendors, monitors email communications, and works on special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor and/or Trustco Bank’s Board of Directors.
- Maintains and oversees the department e-mail.
- Communicates with customers to schedule appraisals.
- Communicates with internal departments and branches regarding orders, including additional information needed to complete an appraisal or evaluation.
- Oversees department Excel reports for all appraisal and evaluation orders.
- Assists the manager in assigning orders to staff and fee appraisers.
- Obtains fee amounts from fee appraisers for applications that require a loan estimate.
- Composes and orders engagement letters to fee appraisers.
- Receives all fee appraisal reports and matches to engagement letters.
- Communicates with fee appraisers regarding orders, reports, and scheduling of assignments.
- Monitors turnaround of orders for fee and staff appraisers.
- Assists in data entry for residential reviews of appraisal and evaluations.
- Maintains and prepares daily department reports.
- Assists the manager in preparing month end reports.
- Prepares and verifies invoices monthly.
- Assists fellow staff in online research.
- Completes on-line and in classroom appraisal courses assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently and in groups.
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Programs; Excel and Word.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS:
This is a full-time position. Office hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL:
No travel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace; bilingual skills a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, including but not limited to company policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
