Building Inspector / Property Maintenance Officer

BUILDING INSPETOR / PROPERTY MAINTENANCE OFFICER

The Village of Coal Valley is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full time position of Building Inspector / Property Maintenance Officer.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of building inspections & code violations helpful. Must obtain International Code Council (ICC) designation within first year of employment.

Responsibilities Include:

Review and approve plans that meet building codes, village ordinances, and zoning regulations. Inspect and monitor projects to ensure overall compliance. Candidate will also assist in general building maintenance.

Must possess good communication skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and the ability to exercise good judgment in ordinary and critical situations. Applicant will have the ability to work normal working hours and overtime if necessary.

Hourly pay is $25.45 per hour including an attractive benefit package.
