Job Purpose
Teach undergraduate and manufacturing & engineering technology.

Essential Functions
Teach undergraduate courses in manufacturing & engineering technology. Participate and develop a leadership profile in professional service.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned master’s in Manufacturing Engineering or Technology or closely related engineering field from an accredited institution by start date of employment. Excellence in teaching (or similar experience) or evidence of potential excellence in teaching. Applicants should be qualified to teach undergraduate courses in Manufacturing & Engineering Technology and participate in college, university, professional society and community service. Each should have the desire and commitment to live at the forefront of scholarship in education and be a supporter of active techniques in the classroom (collaborative learning, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
An earned master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related area from an ABET accredited university. Expertise in the broad area of engineering technology aligned with the department’s emphasis in mechatronics, foundry technology, smart manufacturing and technology management with teaching interests in metallurgy, robotics, automation, loT and/or process design are especially encouraged to apply as are those with teaching interests in smart foundry and manufacturing area related processes, etc.).

Work Hours:

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment to start August 1, 2024, renewable based on performance and needs of department.

Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
