Bakery Manager

SUNSET/GRAND is currently interviewing for a Bakery Manager at our Long Grove location.

Requirements include: 

• Excellent supervisory and communication skills;
• Ability to oversee operations and staffing for the bakery department within a grocery store; 
• Cake decorating skills and a minimum of 2 years of Baking experience required;
• Manage pastry making/baking, inventory and purchasing for the department;
• Exceptional customer service skills;
• Monitor quality of goods and service within the bakery department;
• Responsible for the department staff training, assignments, and scheduling;
• Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets;
• Must maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control;
• High school diploma or its equivalent;
• Minimum of 2 years of bakery experience is required;  
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
• Must be able to be exposed to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit; 
• Ability to Multi-task.

Pay range:  $45,000 - $50,000 per year (depending upon experience)
