Overview
The Procurement Manager is a position in the Supply Chain department of the Sun Tribe Solar EPC Delivery business unit whose focus is the design and construction of 2-20MW ground mounted utility scale solar photovoltaic power plants.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for executing the purchase process for major PV equipment RFQ through purchase order/contract execution, identifying qualified vendors and appropriate technologies, maintaining a database of current suppliers and their pre-qualification, as well as monitoring supplier performance. The Procurement Manager will manage relationships with key suppliers that support the overall strategic objectives of the organization and ensure reliable support and supply of materials to projects.
The Procurement Manager is also responsible for management of Sun Tribe owned inventory. May be assigned other tasks and/ or equipment scopes as needed. The Procurement Manager position reports directly to the Director, Supply Chain and works closely with other key staff, including Project Engineers, Project Managers and Senior Pre-Construction Manager.

You Will
- Manage Procurement process for designated scopes of PV equipment
- Develop and manage supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for designated scopes of materials
- Manage inventory process for Sun Tribe owned inventory
- Contribute to development of overall Procurement team strategies to support organizational goals
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with focus in supply chain management, sustainability, or construction management or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 year experience with three phase electrical equipment required
- Minimum 1 years of relevant procurement experience required
- Minimum 1 year experience within renewable, energy, construction, or electrical industry preferred
Skills & Experience
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in project management, purchasing and accounting software platform
- Ability to read and understand single-line drawings
- Experience in negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
- Understanding of project management tools and concepts
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving industry
- Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
