Service Desk Support Specialist
SERVICE DESK SUPPORT SPECIALIST
The Information Technology Department has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours/week) individual to provide the first point of contact and resolution for faculty, staff and students for technical support for all hardware and software installed at the University.
Qualified candidate must have experience with: Active Directory, Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems and hardware; troubleshooting hardware such as printers, scanners, projectors, and multimedia equipment. Qualified candidate must maintain accurate records, effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and interact well in a team environment while managing multiple competing priorities and diverse tasks. Being available to work a variety of hours, including evening and weekend hours, possessing strong customer service, analytical and project management skills as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly is a necessity. A minimum of 2 years of experience using and operating a Windows environment is required. The position requires an Associate's degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience with preference given for a degree in the Computer Science field.
