PHYSICAL THERAPY LAB ASSISTANT

The St. Ambrose University Physical Therapy Department is seeking applicants for a laboratory assistant in our Human Gross Anatomy course during the Fall 2023 semester with potential to continue in the role in subsequent fall semesters. This position involves assisting the course coordinator in the gross anatomy lab to facilitate detailed cadaver dissections by students in small groups.

Applicants should be a licensed physical therapist with at least two years of clinical experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in dissection and working with students. Some teaching experience, including work as a clinical instructor, is preferred but not required.

Laboratory sessions are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays running from 1-5 p.m. Setup for testing sessions may involve some morning hours on only three days during the semester. The semester starts on August 21st and runs through December 15. We will consider applicants who are only available for one of the weekly sessions and then hire a different individual for the other session. Individuals will be paid $35 per hour of laboratory time.

Application review will begin on June 2 and the position will remain open until filled.
