NURSING CLINICAL TRACK FACULTY

The St. Ambrose Department of Nursing welcomes qualified applicants to apply for a full time, nine-month clinical track position to begin August 2023. Nursing instructors are professionals with the education and practice skills to prepare the next generation of nurses. Candidates will be joining a well-established department focused on implementing the approved curriculum based on the mission and philosophy of the Department of Nursing and St. Ambrose University. Clinical instructors provide opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and practice skills identified in course objectives within classroom, laboratory and clinical settings; using appropriate and innovative teaching methods across a variety of modalities. All nursing faculty at St. Ambrose University participate in the program's evaluation and continuous improvement processes.

The Department of Nursing is one of seven health sciences at St. Ambrose, allowing for interprofessional opportunities and collaboration.

Candidates are required to have an earned Master's degree in Nursing and must be licensed in Iowa. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience. Additional preference given to candidates with medical, surgical, or mental health experience. 

The Bachelors of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the Iowa Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
