Maintenance Tech II duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Performs general building maintenance. Inspects building, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. Repairs faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Conducts routine electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs to guarantee functionality; conducts routine HVAC and boiler system checks.
- Performs minor drywall, tile, pipe, vent, and window repair as needed.
- Fixes safety hazards and assists with development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
- Performs exterior maintenance such lawn care and minor grounds work. Also requires snow removal of walkways and entrances, working snow blowers, and plowing snow.
- Inspects and performs repairs to resident beds, wheelchairs, minor medical equipment, and other mechanical devices.
- Addresses work orders and plans and schedule repairs.
- Transports residents to appointments and other functions.
- Maintains inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Trade/technical school certification a plus.
- Experience in healthcare facility or similar environment preferred, but not required.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, heating and AC a plus.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Basic PC skills. Ability to create basic documents in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Scheduling flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed. Some weekend work and holiday rotation required. Paid emergency on-call availability required.
