Program Coordinator, Penn State Hollywood Program

The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide support for the Penn State Hollywood Program. This position will report to the Program Director and will work closely with students and internship sites for the program.

This is a Full Time Equivalency (FTE) position at 83.3%. This position works 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) from August to May (off June and July). Penn State benefits included. The work location will be fully onsite, located in Los Angeles, CA. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations for the College's semester-in-residence program in Los Angeles
  • Connect students to internship opportunities within the entertainment industry;
  • Manage logistics involving housing, class meetings and activities for students and alumni;
  • Work with the director and the University to ensure contracts are signed and invoices are paid;
  • Promote the program through relationship building, social media, and networking;
  • Organize special events; and respond in a timely manner to all correspondence related to the program.


Education and Experience: This position will be filled at the Senior Support level and requires an Associate's Degree or higher and 4+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and have strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
