Job Description:
Oakton College Youth STEAM program is looking for enthusiastic and innovative instructors for the 2024 summer camp program. Assist in developing hands-on curriculum and teach science,
technology, engineering, art, and math skills that are fun, yet academically challenging.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Development of curriculum that is hands-on (as appropriate)
- Preparation of course presentations and instructional materials (as appropriate)
- Delivery of instruction, including being prepared for and meeting courses and
- laboratories (if appropriate) at scheduled times
- Compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures including but
- not limited to submission of final grades
- Coding
- Artificial Intelligence
- Gaming
- Investing and Entrepreneurship
- Animation
- Photoshop
- Architecture
- Sports Science
- CSI Forensics
- Anime & Manga Storyboarding
- Engineering
- 3D Printing
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a degree in education and significant experience
- Must have demonstrated experience using technology in teaching, training, or tutoring of youth (See potential subject matters below)
- Demonstrated experience with the subject matter
- Must be enthusiastic about hands-on learning
Additional Information:
Hourly: $40-$50 hourly
Must successfully complete a background check.
This position is located on the Des Plaines campus.
Mondy - Friday 8:45 am - 12:00 pm and/or 1:00 pm - 4:15 pm
