Optician position

Northern Eyewear is opening a new optical store in Ellsworth, Maine.  Northern Eyewear is a Maine owned and operated eyewear wholesaler.  Northern Eyewear brands include Acadia, Moxie, Janell (coming soon), Knife Edge, Granite Flex, and Allagash Titanium.  Our website www.Northerneyewear.com has our selection available for viewing. We are also the exclusive US distributor for Spider Monkey Eyewear from Germany.  The Ellsworth store will include a sunglasses room to accommodate the need for plano sunglasses.  

We are looking for an optician who can provide exceptional customer service, while addressing concerns or questions related to eyewear selection from customers.  The position will involve taking accurate measurements, eyewear alignment, eye glass repair, and edging duties.  You will need to be able to take orders, collect and review insurance information, maintain accurate records of patient information and prescriptions, and must be able to use both POS systems and computer software. This is a Wednesday to Saturday position, hours 9-6.
