Patrol Duty
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for a full-time and part-time Patrol Deputy positions. Positions enforces Federal, State and local laws regarding traffic and criminal incidents. Employees will be expected to work varied hours, weekends and holidays and are expected to work overtime. Opening will be on 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.
Minimum Qualifications include but are not limited to: 21 years of age or older, high school diploma or G.E.D., 2 year Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or must meet State requirements of having accumulated 60 credit hours within a period of five (5) years from date of employment from a college or university in Police Science, Criminal justice or related field, and have no convictions of any Federal Felony or an offense which if committed in Wisconsin could be punished as a felony unless the applicant has been granted an absolute and unconditional pardon. Selection process will also include oral interviews, psychological examination, and extensive background check. Applicants must be certified or certifiable, and must provide written documentation as evidence with application.
Starting pay is $25.25/hr. with a generous comprehensive benefit package. Applicants with lateral experience may receive a higher starting hourly rate of pay up to $28.62.
