The Village of Carbon Cliff is seeking an experienced, team-oriented, self-driven individual to serve as its next Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for but not limited to basic accounting, financial reporting, assisting with budget preparations, tax levy preparation, assist with all phases of the annual audit, managing accounts payable and receivables. Other responsibilities include overseeing health insurance and employee retirement benefits, compute utility bills, mailing utility bills, sending out disconnection notices, filing liens for non-payment, maintaining up-to-date records for all utility customers, and other such duties as may be assigned by the Village Board of Trustees. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Individual may be appointed as Village Clerk and would be required to attend Board Meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Village offers an excellent benefit package, including participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, health, dental, and life insurance. Salary $35,000.00 based on experience/negotiable. Estimated benefits package $15,000.00
